Currently first aid training is delivered in the form of role play scenarios performed by other people of the first aid course. This leads to challenges in learning, as sometimes people do not take the training seriously and this takes away from any effective learning. First aid training often uses power points to show the signs and symptoms that a person may have, this is limiting to someone learning as they do not have a way of putting into practice identifying these signs and symptoms.

Correct process and order of first aid is important to the effective application of immediate care for a person who is injured. It is there for the main goal of a first aid training course to deliver a participant with the appropriate knowledge to do first aid in the correct order and to do them properly.

An Instructors perspective allows for the scenario to be dynamically edited, updated and changed as the student is in the scenario. The reason for this is it allows the student to have their skills tested at the will of the instructor instead of just allowing the procedural generator free reign and control over every aspect of the scenario.

The Instructor perspective also allows for complete customisation of a scenario and the instructor can then publish the scenario so that others may have access to it. This is similar to content sharing of user generated levels in video games such as Dream.

The video above shows some of the key elements for my project. It is a completed prototype of all the key user interactions and UI elements that I wanted for this project. A main focus for this project was the Research & Development that directed the final outcome of this project.
